  • The Institute of Turkish Revolution History that established in 1942, has a long history;
  • It is the first Institution that was established in the field of Ataturk’s Principles and History;
  • It is a unit of Ankara University, which is well-known for being the first university in the Republic of Turkey;
  • It has an archive of about 100,000 documents also transfered into digital media;
  • It has lots of photographs and stamps and newspaper collections;
  • The presence of a specialized library;
  • It has a museum that houses about 3000 historical objects;
  • It publishes an academic journal called Ataturk Yolu twice a year, Spring and Fall editions.
  • It has published many works contributing to the illumination  of the field of the history of Republic, with its continuing publication policy;
  • It has a number of competent academic and administrative staff in the field;
  • Thanks to the post-graduate programs that it has run up to day-to-day, many academicians have been trained there and its tradition is still practised in other universities.
